Job Description

As an Industry Account Manager, you are responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects to provide quality service, develop relationships, identify opportunities, and yield profitable business across Life Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, and related segments. You are responsible for retention of clients and new business development and must understand the client's business and their broad needs to provide solutions that address those needs. You will have knowledge of the product line and its applications, and can provide multi-faceted solutions for our customers. You will report to the Industry Sales Manager and work remotely from any location within the Mid-Atlantic territory (Philadelphia, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Account Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement annual account strategies aligned with customer business objectives. Maintain a healthy pipeline and forecast accurately to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers and influencers at all levels. Leverage insights to create opportunities and secure executive sponsorship.
  • Sales Execution: Utilize outcome-based selling methodologies and tools to position Rockwell Automation solutions. Drive opportunities through all stages of the buying process to closure.
  • Collaboration: Orchestrate internal resources (domain experts, specialists, customer success teams) to maximize impact. Maintain alignment with local sales, industry, and leadership teams.
  • Sales Discipline: Ensure CRM hygiene, capture customer interactions, and follow guided selling processes. Act quickly on leads and manage pipeline health for current and future quarters.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to travel up to 40% of the time to customers

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technology Field. Additional business-related degree/experience.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in Sales or Account Management
  • 3+ years of experience selling into or managing accounts in the, life sciences, CPG or food and beverage industry.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing and automation.
  • Applied experience in one or more areas related to selling control/information solutions into our target industries, or supporting same, and/or production/process engineering experience, manufacturing operations experience or similar work

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $142,240 - $213,360 of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
