Job Description

As an Industrial Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, data-driven solutions using Rockwell and partner technology, including Cognite Data Fusion (CDF), FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, and FactoryTalk Optix. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders—to translate complex industrial challenges into digital solutions. Your expertise will help drive digital transformation across industries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Lead the design of end-to-end industrial data solutions
    • Define data models, integration patterns, and system architectures aligned with business goals.
    • Define end-to-end architectures leveraging Cognite Data Fusion, cloud platforms, and edge data ingestion technologies.
    • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of deployed solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
    • Present architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Implementation & Delivery
    • Lead project implementations in a client-facing role.
    • Guide development teams during implementation phases.
    • Oversee data ingestion, contextualization, and visualization workflows.
    • Oversee and develop ingestion pipelines, APIs, and integration services.
    • Establish development standards, CI/CD practices, and code quality expectations.
    • Act as the primary technical advisor for clients adopting our industrial data solutions.
    • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with best practices.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Stay current with industry leading data platforms and industry trends.
    • Mentor junior architects, developers, and engineers.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, or software development.
  • Strong understanding of industrial data systems (e.g., historians, SCADA, PLCs, MES, ERP).
  • Hands-on experience with Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, or similar industrial data platforms.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, APIs, and data modeling.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with time-series data and contextualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of industrial domains such as oil & gas, manufacturing, or energy.
  • Certifications in cloud and industrial data platfoms, including Cognite.
  • Experience leading technical teams and manage client-facing delivery.
  • Prior consulting or system integrator experience.
  • Familiarity with machine learning model development and MLOps practices.
  • Understanding of data governance, access management, and cybersecurity in industrial contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in asset performance management, production monitoring, or advanced process control

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $152,000 - $228,000 with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
