Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst for our Roy, UT location. 


 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will support the Sentinel Personnel Security team. In that capacity, their responsibilities may include but will not be limited to: regularly collaborating with colleagues across the Sentinel program enterprise to provide training and ensure consistency and compliance; generating and/or reviewing Program Access Request (PAR) packages for accuracy and completeness; preparing and executing briefs/debriefs; reviewing and processing sensitive personnel information in support of SCI and/or SAP nomination processes; maintaining PERSEC databases; accessing/reviewing/submitting clearance-related documents; assisting with the creation or updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Work Instructions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of related experience; OR 2 plus years of experience with a bachelor's degree; OR 1 plus year of relevant experience with a master's degree

  • Working knowledge of DoDM 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual and 32 CFR, Part 117 NISPOM

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or 365, including, MS Word, MS EXCEL

  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion

  • This position requires an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Knowledge and familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07 Special Access Program Security Manual, and other US Government security manuals

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision

  • Proficient with ESIS/SIMS, DISS, and/or JADE

  • Completed security training (ex. CDSE) is a plus

  • Working knowledge of the JADE database

  • Basic knowledge of access controls and security systems 

  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications and customer service

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
