We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated US Income Tax Analyst (Officer) to join our Corporate Tax team. Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As US Income Tax Analyst (Officer) you will be responsible for:

Tax Provision & Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Prepare tax journal entries and reconcile tax expense and balance sheet accounts
  • Execute workflows that support various components of the provision, including but not limited to permanent and temporary tax adjustments, the tax effects of Other Comprehensive Income (OCI),
  • Prepare and support global quarterly tax reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness of underlying data

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Support the preparation of tax workpapers for quarterly regulatory reporting requirements, including Basel, CCAR (QST and annual), RRP, and other consolidated and standalone filings.
  • Support monthly Capital forecasting internal reporting requirements.
  • Compile analytical schedules and assist in developing presentations that clearly explain quarter‑over‑quarter/year-over-year tax movements and key drivers of results.

Internal Controls & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements for all tax processes.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and support internal and external audit requests.

Process Optimization & Technology Enablement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate tax processes using AI tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Contribute to building best-in-class tax processes by leveraging Microsoft Copilot and other intelligent automation tools.

What we value

  • Working knowledge of U.S. Federal and International tax laws and ASC 740 is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, and interpret large and complex data sets to support tax reporting, planning, and decision‑making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting or finance.
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource,) and familiarity with automation platforms (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI ) and AI tools is a plus.

Minimum Salary:

zł132,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
