Inbound Logistics Section Head

You will lead the inbound logistics function for our Egypt site. You will manage incoming materials, customs clearance, supplier coordination and team performance. You will work closely with production planning, procurement and quality teams to make sure materials arrive on time and in full. Responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

- Managing all import and export activities for GSK Egypt sites.

- Lead inbound logistics activities to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of materials to site in-line with planned spend .

- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to resolve delays .

- Maintain accurate inbound data in planning and ERP systems and support data clean-up initiatives.

- Responsible for securing GIT through distribution Risk Assessment .

- Supervise and coach team members and outsourced providers to deliver consistent operational performance.

- Lead improvement initiatives to optimize logistics cost and lead-times.

Basic Qualification:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in inbound logistics, materials planning, or supply chain operations.

- Practical experience with customs clearance processes and import documentations in Egypt.

- Strong experience working with SAP ERP systems for inbound planning and goods receipt.

- Good Knowledge of Nafeza & Cargo-X Platform.

- Familiar with HS-Code classifcation , Customs Valuation maethods , Sanctions Screening , and Trade Compliance aspects.

- Good communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.

- Ability to work on-site full time (this role is on-site).

Preferred Qualification:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or fast-moving consumer goods industries.

- Track record of supplier development and logistics cost optimisation.

- Familiarity with materials requirements planning (MRP) processes and exception management.

- Strong Excel and data analysis skills for reporting and continuous improvement.

- Experience managing small teams and third-party logistics providers.

This role is on-site in Cairo, Egypt. Hybrid or remote working arrangements are not available for this role.
