The position acts as an operational link between head office, internal teams, international customers/distributors, to provide, on a timely and accurate basis, all required customs and regulatory information for all purchased promotional material, point of sales materials and atypical products, for all divisions, to be shipped and cleared as soon as possible.
With the need of these types of products across the different functions within the company and the complexity of importation requirements on the countries we operate, it is key to stay ahead of the curve, by establishing formal channels to gather all the requirements, centralize the information from the different sources to address these needs and work to integrate it seamlessly within the exportation process.

Facilitate smooth Market Access: By coordinating with customers and external customs and legal experts across the countries that CUPFSA operates, ensuring that Chanel’s products are imported efficiently and in full compliance with applicable custom’s regulations.
Streamline Information Management: By collaborating with divisional teams to formalize documentation flows, you centralize and standardize critical information, minimizing errors and delays in the process.
Enable Agile Response to Customs Needs: Respond promptly to ad-hoc inquiries regarding product details, documentation, or compliance requirements by customs or any other applicable authorities and regulations.
Proactively Manage Export Risks: By working closely with key stakeholders to identify potential issues before orders are placed or new Fashion Division products are launched, thereby protecting Chanel’s interests and enabling informed decision-making across global markets.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor’s degree in international commerce, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field is required.
Proficiency in English and Spanish are a MUST. Additional languages are a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Customer Service Oriented: Ability to anticipate customer needs regarding regulations/requirements impacting non-saleable items and solve issues efficiently.
S&OP Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including cross-functional alignment, scenario analysis, and impact assessment on supply chain performance.
Customs Compliance Expertise: Ensures all promotional materials and POS items meet international customs laws and import/export requirements, including proper documentation, tariff classification, and legal permits.
Material Identification & Classification: Identifies and classifies materials according to customs regulations and HS codes, addressing any legal restrictions or requirements for import/export in target markets.
Prioritization & Workload Management: Skilled at assessing urgency and impact of competing tasks, organizing workload, and setting priorities to deliver results within tight timelines.
Executive Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to senior management and cross-functional teams, supporting strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactive in building strong relationships with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, and Operations to ensure seamless information flow and alignment.
Risk Escalation & Decision Making: Ability to identify potential risks, escalate issues proactively, and facilitate timely decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
