We are seeking an experienced and motivated Implementation Project Manager to join our team and support successful client implementations. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client implementations—from initial discovery and project kickoff through configuration, testing, and handoff to ongoing delivery teams. This role ensures implementation success by managing timelines, coordinating workstreams, guiding clients through key decisions, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. You will serve as a primary project contact, helping to ensure a high-quality, on-time, and accurate implementation experience. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Project Leadership & Delivery 

  • Manage end-to-end implementation projects, ensuring successful execution across all phases of the lifecycle. 
  • Facilitate key project sessions including discovery, kickoff, requirements gathering, testing planning, and status meetings. 
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation. 
  • Track project progress against defined milestones and contractual service levels, escalating concerns as appropriate. 
  • Provide regular status updates to internal partners and clients. 

Client & Stakeholder Management 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process. 
  • Support client expectation management by clearly communicating timelines, risks, scope, and required decisions. 
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders through clear communication and responsiveness. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including configuration, technical, compliance, and service delivery—to support timely and accurate deliverables. 

Risk Management & Issue Resolution 

  • Identify and communicate project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks. 
  • Partner with leadership and project stakeholders to support issue resolution and escalation when needed. 
  • Monitor interdependencies across workstreams and proactively address items that could impact timelines or quality. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 

Required Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of project management or implementation experience, preferably within benefits, HR technology, SaaS, or related environments 
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration processes and/or implementation methodologies 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis) and other MS Office tools 
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and accountability 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, etc.) 
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms, HRIS systems, or SaaS implementations 
  • Experience working on cross-functional or technical project teams 
  • Smartsheet experience

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
