KBR is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hydraulic Designer to join our expanding Building Services group in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and is capable of delivering high‑quality hydraulic design modelling across a diverse range of engineering and construction projects.

Working under the general guidance of discipline and project leads, you will contribute to detailed modelling of hydraulic services including potable water, wastewater, sewer, natural gas, hot water generation, and stormwater systems and support the development of concept planning with sound technical judgement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete detailed hydraulic modelling for buildings and infrastructure projects using Autodesk Revit (AutoCAD experience highly regarded).

  • Work collaboratively within project teams (both KBR and client) to contribute to, complete, and implement designs.

  • Manage and deliver assigned hydraulic discipline work scopes in line with project requirements.

  • Meet standards relating to time, cost, and quality for all allocated tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, regulations, KBR procedures, client requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of internal and external client needs and maintain high client satisfaction.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to hydraulic services.

  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary team members to enable seamless project delivery.

  • Contribute innovative ideas that enhance team performance and project outcomes.

  • Seek opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and project processes.

  • Request guidance on matters outside your technical experience or scope when required.

  • Apply a balanced approach of practicality and innovation in all work undertaken.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, or similar qualification (highly regarded).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using Revit MEP for hydraulic services projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to self manage within projects and project teams to ensure delivery excellence.

  • Experience coordinating within multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental, and quality standards, including compliance with review and approval processes.
