Job Family Definition:

Defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against defined strategic objectives. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) business plans and supporting data-driven models. Prepares comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities. Ensures that business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders. Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and makes recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement. Develops data-driven analyses to optimize resources and ensure that business plans can be translated into financial value. 

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Role Summary:

As an Expert – Business Intelligence Architect / Executive Analytics, you will act as the technical owner and architect for executive‑facing analytics solutions supporting Hybrid Cloud leadership and partner organizations (Sales, GTM, Finance).

This role is critical to executive decision‑making. You will independently design, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Power BI dashboards used in weekly operating reviews and high‑visibility leadership forums. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, frequently under time pressure and ambiguity, where data accuracy, clarity, and timeliness are essential

In addition to technical ownership, this role serves as a technical leader for AI‑enabled analytics, driving practical adoption of Copilot and AI agents in production BI solutions, while mentoring and uplifting other BI developers.

Business Impact

The analytics owned by this role directly influence senior leadership decisions across Hybrid Cloud, Sales/GTM, and Finance. Accuracy, timeliness, and reliability are essential, as delays or errors can materially impact executive decision-making.

By providing expert-level ownership, this role improves responsiveness during executive business hours, reduces operational risk, and ensures continuity of high-quality executive analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Analytics Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end architecture, quality, and availability of executive-facing Power BI dashboards.
  • Ensure analytics supporting executive reviews are accurate, reliable, and delivered on time.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate data quality or reporting risks.

Expert Analysis & Judgment

  • Independently resolve complex, ambiguous data and performance issues under time pressure.
  • Translate loosely defined executive questions into clear analyses and actionable insights.
  • Apply strong business judgment and intellectual honesty when presenting insights to leadership.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design and evolve scalable BI architectures, semantic models, and data transformations.
  • Review SQL and ETL logic, defining remediation and long-term improvement strategies.
  • Establish and uphold best practices for performance, validation, and documentation.

AI & Copilot Enablement

  • Lead the integration of AI-enabled analytics and Copilot capabilities into executive reporting.
  • Identify opportunities where AI can enhance insight generation, narratives, and forecasting.
  • Act as a technical reference for AI adoption within the analytics team.

Coaching & Team Enablement

  • Mentor and coach BI developers and analysts, raising technical and analytical standards.
  • Support technical reviews and knowledge sharing across a globally distributed team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with stakeholders across Hybrid Cloud, Sales, Finance, and IT.
  • Navigate cross-cultural and cross-regional collaboration effectively

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field; Master’s preferred.

    • 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or data architecture roles.

    • Deep experience with Power BI or equivalent enterprise BI platforms supporting senior stakeholders.

    • Strong SQL and data modeling experience.

    • Experience working in global-based delivery models is highly valued

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert‑level analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect data to decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Natural technical leadership and mentoring capability.
  • Comfort working under ambiguity, pressure, and shifting priorities
  • Bachelor´s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent; Master’s degree a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in areas of Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Architecture, Data Visualization, Data Warehousing with Big Data solutions such as Hive/ADF
