Job Description
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings and spaces. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life, performing maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide variety of HVAC units.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
- **MAINTAIN AND ADHERE TO ALL SAFETY MEASURES**
- 3+ years experience as an HVAC service/install technician
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to work after hours on weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Assisting with customers' queries.
- Climb stairs and ladders – work from heights
- Completing the SAP orders and returning them to the scheduler
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting system malfunctions, then performing the appropriate HVAC system repairs
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal - excellent customer service skills
- Follow regulations regarding the conservation, recovery, and recycling of refrigerants
- Function/Work in extreme temperatures
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Install electrical components and wiring related to the HVAC systems
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Lift heavy materials or equipment
- Maintaining the repair parts and filter inventory
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and work plans
- Properly handle and dispose of fluids and pressurized gases
- Recharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning systems
- Recommend maintenance to improve system performance
- Replace filters – cleans systems – check and clean condensate drains
- REQUIRED STATE LICENSING for HVAC technicians – must meet local codes
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, and heating.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $22.53 - $26.50
