What You Will Do
Johnson Controls is a global leader in building technologies, delivering HVAC, industrial refrigeration, controls and security solutions to more than one million customers. Our HVAC&R team provides innovative project delivery and maintenance services across wide range of industries.
We are recruiting a Project Manager to lead site‑based activity across the UK. You will manage multi‑disciplined engineering teams and subcontractors, ensuring successful delivery of HVAC engineered solutions. You will take ownership of all phases of project delivery—from sales handover through to completion. Our current projects are predominantly within Data Centres, these are new and retrofit projects.
How You Will Do It
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall profitable delivery of projects, including financial management, compliance, people leadership and technical oversight.
You will act as main contractor, managing procurement, logistics, materials, warehousing and subcontractor coordination. As a safety leader, you will ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and support all necessary reporting.
You will attend project meetings, track progress, and audit engineering work to ensure compliance with standards and contractual obligations. Strong customer, consultant and subcontractor relationship management will be essential, supporting a culture aligned with Johnson Controls’ ethics and legal standards.

What We Look For
Essential
• Project Management experience within HVAC engineering, delivering full‑cycle projects including financials, planning, procurement, logistics and H&S management
• Strong understanding of HVAC/Refrigeration systems including chillers
• Contract management and supervisory experience
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and onsite H&S leadership
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical schematics
•IPM Membership (or working towards)
Preferred
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Working toward APM or equivalent qualification
• IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, SMSTS, CSCS
• Knowledge of PSSR and BS EN378
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
