HVAC Mechanic
About the Role:
The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel. Your technical expertise ensures superior guest comfort, optimal indoor air quality, and energy-efficient performance—all while upholding Four Seasons’ uncompromising standards of luxury, safety, and service excellence.
What you will do:
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV units, package units, exhaust systems, and control systems.
• Ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality levels across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond promptly, professionally, and discreetly to guest HVAC concerns, ensuring minimal disruption to the guest experience.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks in alignment with the hotel’s maintenance schedule and Four Seasons engineering standards.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues early to protect operational efficiency and guest comfort.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records in the CMMS.
• Support energy conservation efforts and Four Seasons sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and Four Seasons health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues and external service providers for specialized tasks.
• Maintain tidiness, organization, and safety in all mechanical rooms and workspaces.
• Participate in emergency response procedures for HVAC-related incidents.
What you will bring:
• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of HVAC experience, ideally in a luxury hotel, resort, or large commercial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of chillers, refrigeration systems, VRF/VRV systems, BMS controls, and general HVAC operations.
• Understanding of HVAC safety standards, refrigerant handling procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms (preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with high attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks in mechanical environments.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
