Job Description Summary:
This position provides direct aftercare advocacy and programming for the OhioHealth Sexual Violence Services (OHSVS) Forensic Nursing Program (FNP). The role focuses on supporting survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking, including both sex and labor trafficking, beyond the initial emergency department visit or helpline call. The human trafficking advocate offers in-person and telephonic aftercare services to survivors from OhioHealth Emergency Departments in Central Ohio and regional locations such as Marion and Mansfield. Responsibilities include providing ongoing emotional support, personal advocacy, and guidance on available options; connecting survivors to community resources; sharing information on victims' rights; and assisting with Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation applications. The advocate provides in-person support during interactions with law enforcement and court proceedings as part of criminal justice advocacy.Responsibilities And Duties:
