Major Duties:
Qualifications: AREA OF CONSIDERATION: HRO MUST process and clear the Department of Defense (DoD), Priority Placement Program (PPP), prior to advertising all internal and external job vacancies and promotion announcements. AREA 1 = All permanent employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Air National Guard AREA 2 = All indefinite employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Air National Guard First round consideration will be given to Area 1 Candidates. DUTIES: As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) (NGT59004P1), GS-0201-9, you will cover five programs/specialties within the Air National Guard Military Personnel Flight. The primary purpose is to administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and/or Readiness. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily sedentary, although some physical effort or exertion may be required in the performance of duties. There may be some episodes of light lifting or prolonged periods of standing. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower-level GS-07 position or the equivalent TWENTY-FOUR (24) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs performing or supervising duties such as understanding of the personnel and manpower core competencies: Organization Structure; Requirements Determination; Program Allocation and Control; and, Performance Improvement; working knowledge of organizational structures; manpower standards; manpower resources; manpower data systems; or, commercial services to include strategic sourcing; working experienced in performing personnel program requirements; completing accession planning and processing; plans, directs, controls and provides advisory services on all aspects of the Career Enhancement program, Customer Service Program; Relocation program for all members; human resources employment program and administration of contingencies and mobilizations.
