About the Role:
 

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted resource to attorneys and staff, delivering comprehensive HR support and driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience. This Atlanta-based role offers the chance to work across diverse HR functions in a professional services setting working alongside our firmwide Human Resources team.  

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment with world-class customer service expectations, collaborating closely with business staff units to manage the day-to-day employee experience. Acting as a liaison to HR for these teams, you’ll ensure seamless communication, proactive problem-solving, and a truly collaborative approach to supporting our people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations & Performance Management

    • Collaborate with business unit leaders to support professional staff development, including managing the annual evaluation process.

    • Coordinate educational workshops and professional development programs, partnering with the L&D team.
       

  • HR Operations

    • Work with HR functional teams, including benefits, HRIS, and payroll to ensure consistent execution of firmwide initiatives.

    • Maintain accurate employment records and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws while upholding confidentiality.

    • Serve as a resource for legal compliance, staying informed on employment laws and regulations and working closely with department leadership.

    • Manage an office budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support.

    • Monitor and optimize HR workflows, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.

    • Plan and coordinate office events and employee engagement programming, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
       

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

    • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit and hire business staff, ensuring alignment with firm standards and culture.

    • Deliver engaging onboarding experiences that set new hires up for success and foster a smooth transition into the firm.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment; supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines with precision.

  • Technical: Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification strongly desired.
