Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist provides support to divisional employees and serves as designated front-line point HR member for employee questions regarding policies, practices, and programs as well as employee questions regarding payroll and benefits. Ensure corporate and departmental HR policies and practices are communicated, understood and compliant with all Federal and State laws and regulations is maintained, understood and adhered to.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret HR policies and procedures for employees and managers and make recommendations to HR Manager for potential improvements.

  • Comply with federal, state and local employment laws.

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of various training and development presentations to employees.

  • Provide administrative support to employees who have inquiries about company leave program

  • Provide HRIS back up support as needed.

  • Conduct new employee orientations, follow up on outstanding onboarding tasks in Workday.

  • Submit IT tickets for employee equipment

  • Create flyers and notices for open area office monitors

  • Support HR management with regulatory reporting requirements (OSHA, EEO/AAP, etc.) as needed.

  • Audit shared email group mailboxes

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of the HR department team initiatives.

  • Respond to employees' HR-related inquiries promptly.

  • Provide HR guidance to ZOLL employees and management team on a variety of HR- and business-related items that require sound HR practices and perspectives.

  • At the request of HR management, prepares special reports.

  • Comply with and knowledgeable of all Company policies and standards.

  • Work with Talent Acquisition Partner to assist in scheduling interviews and recruiting efforts as needed

  • Support special projects as needed.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development or related field required.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resources with Generalist responsibility preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Functional expertise supporting Sales team and Operations.

  • Demonstrated project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in State and Federal Labor Law, Compliance.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in short time frames.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to make good decisions quickly, pays close attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)

  • Experience working globally a plus

  • Prior experience with Workday a plus

  • HR competencies and knowledge in payroll, employee relations, recruiting, compensation/benefits administration and compliance.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment; flexible, supportive and adaptive to changes in direction, priorities and job duties.

  • Someone who is a quick learner and has a positive attitude.

The annual salary for this position is:

$66,500.00 to $75,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
