The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a HSE Manager and be an expert. This role allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific market and provide our clients with the best-in-class product. How you’ll make an impact
You will develop, implement, and maintain effective Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems, policies, and procedures in line with Hitachi's global standards and local regulations also conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
You will ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), lead the development and delivery of HSE training programs for employees at all levels, promoting a strong safety culture and environmental awareness.
You will manage and monitor HSE performance metrics, prepare comprehensive reports for management, and identify areas for continuous improvement and oversee the management of hazardous materials, waste disposal, and emergency response planning.
You will conduct internal and external HSE audits and inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings and collaborate with various departments, including operations, engineering, tendering, SCM, and human resources, to integrate HSE considerations into all business processes.
You will act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding HSE matters also promote and champion Hitachi's sustainability initiatives and environmental conservation efforts.
You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
You hold a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven environment.
Professional certifications such as Class A or Class B of Occupational Safety and Health Technician or equivalent are highly desirable.
Thorough knowledge of local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and programs with strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, risk assessments, and data interpretation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
Fluency in English is required.
