HSE Intern / Junior HSE Specialist (m/f/d)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated talent to strengthen our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team and actively support our “Safety First” culture at our site in Samarate, Italy. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or a junior candidate at the beginning of their HSE career.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collecting and updating information required for risk assessments based on local legal requirements
• Supporting all regular HSE inspections at the plant
• Supporting internal HSE audits and organizing internal HSE trainings (scheduling, participant lists, documentation)
• Supporting the management of PPE (filling vending machines, checking quantities and stock levels)
• Engaging with employees and supervisors to raise HSE awareness (e.g. HSE meetings, daily shift handover meetings)
• Supporting in the field verification of the correct application of HSE procedures and HSE instructions
• Checking contractors’ HSE documentation (according to local legal requirements) and supporting the supervision of contractors in the field

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate or soon-to-be graduate in Environmental Engineering, Management/Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Alternatively: First relevant experience in HSE (e.g. internship, working student, junior position)
• Strong interest in health, safety and environmental topics in an industrial environment
• Structured, reliable and hands-on working style; willingness to spend time on the shop floor
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Good English skills
