The Opportunity

We are seeking a Workday Senior Specialist – Reporting, Analytics & Dashboards to play a critical role in how our organization leverages data across HR and the enterprise. This role is ideal for a Workday expert who thrives at the intersection of data, systems, and business insight, someone who enjoys turning complex requirements into intuitive, scalable reporting solutions that enable self-service, automation, and better decision-making.

You will serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on expert for Workday reporting and analytics, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, HRIS, and IT to elevate how data is accessed, interpreted, and used.

What You’ll Do (Your Impact)

Workday Reporting & Analytics Leadership

  • Design, build, and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions, with a strong focus on:

    • Advanced Reporting

    • Composite Reporting

    • Calculated Fields (including complex logic and condition rules)

    • Dashboards and data visualization best practices

  • Develop report books and standardized dashboards to support HR Business Partners, leaders, and functional teams.

  • Lead the design and rollout of Discovery Boards, aligned to business needs, project initiatives, and executive reporting.

Enable Self-Service & Data Literacy

  • Expand and enhance self-service reporting capabilities, reducing reliance on manual data pulls and ad hoc requests.

  • Create user-friendly documentation, training materials, and enablement content to help HR teams confidently use Workday data.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define data standards, report definitions, and governance practices.

System Optimization & Innovation

  • Act as a Workday reporting subject-matter expert, advising on best practices, design patterns, and scalable solutions.

  • Leverage Workday Worksheets for appropriate business use cases, from analysis to planning support.

  • Review Workday releases and proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting, dashboards, and analytics functionality.

Project & Initiative Support

  • Support major HR initiatives (e.g., new functionality, global process changes, integrations, and M&A activities) through:

    • Requirements gathering

    • Data validation and preparation

    • Reporting design and testing

  • Build and execute complex EIBs to support data loads, corrections, and mass updates as needed.

  • Evaluate risks, trade-offs, and solution options, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.

What You Bring

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience in configuration, reporting, or system administration.

  • Strong expertise in Workday HCM reporting, including Advanced Reporting and Calculated Fields.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.

  • Solid understanding of HR data, processes, and functional workflows.

  • Experience supporting or participating in Workday implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.

  • Advanced skills in Excel (data analysis, validation), with comfort using PowerPoint and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Workday Report Writer or Analytics certification.

  • Experience with Composite Reporting, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets.

  • Exposure to global HR environments, shared services, or matrixed organizations.

  • Prior experience working with HR Business Partners or Centers of Excellence in a consultative capacity.
