What is the Opportunity?
The HR Systems Security Specialist - Workday & SAP is responsible for the design, configuration, administration, and ongoing support of security within Workday and SAP. This role ensures that appropriate access controls are in place to support business operations while maintaining strong security, compliance, and risk management standards.
The role partners closely with HR, Technology, and business stakeholders to support secure and effective access design, resolve security-related issues, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of HR systems security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain security roles, permissions, and access controls within Workday to ensure appropriate and compliant access.
Manage end-to-end user access processes, including provisioning, changes, and removals, while ensuring adherence to access governance and segregation-of-duties principles.
Partner with HR and business stakeholders to design, test, and implement security and configuration changes that support evolving business requirements.
Assess and support the security impact of system changes, enhancements, integrations, and organizational restructures, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and managed.
Support internal and external audit activities by providing access documentation, security reporting, and evidence of controls, and assisting with remediation of identified issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance security processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Experience working with enterprise HR systems (Workday and SAP).
Strong understanding of application security concepts including role-based access control and least privilege principles.
Experience in user access management, security configuration, and support of enterprise systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Understanding of audit, compliance, and control environments in enterprise systems.
Nice to Have:
Experience with both Workday and SAP security administration.
Experience supporting audit remediation or compliance reviews.
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
Workday Pro Security Certification or SAP security-related certification.
