The Employee Care Team provides HR support to all McKesson employees and people leaders. The Employee Care Team’s mission is “Helping employees with everyday HR needs and coaching people leaders to effectively lead their teams.” The Strategy & Enablement team within the Employee Care team enables Employee Care to achieve their mission through delivering a great self-service HR experience enabled by easy-to-use technology and employee-centric HR content, and by equipping HR representatives with the latest information so they can provide exceptional service to employees when more support is needed beyond the self-service offerings.
The Employee Care Readiness Sr. Manager owns establishing and executing the framework for the Employee Care team to be “ready” for new processes, employees (e.g., mergers & acquisitions), and scope. This includes managing relationships with HR & business, building Employee Care skills, and establishing standards and procedures for handling employee and people leader questions.
Responsibilities of this leader will include:
Scoping resources (people and budgets) needed for Employee Care to successfully support expanded offerings
Enabling self-service technologies and tools to empower employees and people leaders (key partners include HR Operations and McKesson Technology)
Coordinating training for Employee Care team members on new processes and scope
Identify and enable opportunities to increase efficiency and automation in the enablement space
Ensuring Employee Care readiness is included in project teams plans and estimates
Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order.)
Partner with project and process owners across the enterprise to create readiness plans (training, communication, knowledge, etc) to support new scope/services
Ensure Employee Care team members have the resources and training (onboarding, business acumen, process clarity/overview, etc.) to provide support
Partner with Process Owners and COEs to deliver communication and knowledge content (e.g., knowledge articles, process overviews, FAQs) that enables Employee Care to support new/updated processes and services.
Partner with McKesson Technology and HR Shared Services teams to ensure digital (including AI) and self-service readiness tools are included in readiness plans, tested, and supported
Deliver and maintain the Employee Care Readiness roadmap and dashboard including intake, prioritization, readiness status, risks/issues, etc
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Education/Training –
Degree or equivalent and minimum 7 years’ relevant experience
Preferred: Certification Credentials such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Prosci, SHRM
Business Experience –
Previous experience in an operations environment
Understanding of key readiness activities such as training, hypercare, reporting, etc.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills –
Technology understanding
Communication – written and verbal
Attention to detail
Project management
Relationship management
Process orientation
General HR knowledge foundation
Working Conditions:
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) –
Traditional office environment.
