Responsible for monitoring the fundamental administrative tasks within the Human Resources Department. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Answer HR Department Hotline and forward to the appropriate team member. 

  • Assist Benefits Team by answering general questions via phone and email. 

  • Assist with incoming inquiries via email to the Workday inbox. 

  • Responsible for all HR invoice processing and ensures payments are made in a timely fashion. 

  • Responsible for scanning all existing employee files project. 

  • Assist with completing Medical Support Notices. 

  • Process unemployment claims. Escalate unemployment hearings to Regional HR Business Partner. 

  • Process employment verifications. 

  • Assist with benefit compliance items such as 401k Audit, NDT Testing, EEO reporting 

  • Assist with benefit audit reports 

  • Conduct form I-9 audits  

  • Assist with acquisitions projects 

  • Responsible for sending new hire onboarding email to Managers. 

  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions. 

  • Manage DOT driver files and ensure compliance with DOT requirements. 

  • Responsible for mail distribution and overnight packages. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred not required. 

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Over 1 year, up to and including 2 years experience in an administrative position. Experience in Human Resources related capacity highly desired. 

 

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Intermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Access. 

  • Familiarity with Workday is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The performance of this position may require exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes and safety glasses. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.
