Job Summary:

The HR Project Specialist will design, implement, and monitor a variety of human resources programs and initiatives. This role partners with business leaders to anticipate and plan for long-term HR needs and trends. Operating within the Human Resources function, the Specialist may work as a generalist or across multiple HR disciplines. The position requires independent execution of responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate HR projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Program Design & Implementation: Develop and implement HR programs related to talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce planning.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to identify HR needs, provide recommendations, and deliver solutions that support strategic objectives.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant employment laws in all project deliverables.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Experience: Typically requires 4–6 years of HR experience with demonstrated project management skills.

  • Knowledge: Broad application of HR principles, theories, and concepts, plus working knowledge of related fields.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,100 - $123,500
