Program & Project Management applies general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process. This job family organizes project teams, establishes project schedules and individual responsibilities, and determines resource requirements. Program & Project Management manages project budgets and reports on the status of project cost, timing and staffing. This job family also ensures adherence to internal external quality standards and integrates vendor tasks and deliverables into project plans.
Job Summary
The role is responsible for managing the execution of projects consisting of single or multiple initiatives. They also work within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Manages projects of a variety of size and scale including day to day project management, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication management, stakeholder management, etc.
Leverages project management tools and resources to develop project plans, charters, status reports, etc. to ensure the execution of the project is success through the project lifecycle.
Indirectly leads all project team members, providing necessary direction, feedback and coaching based on team members roles and responsibilities.
May support merger, acquisition and divestiture activities, representing the HR function through due diligence and integration of deals.
Provide accurate and timely project updates to steering committee members, project owner(s) and project team members, calling out key risks and updates throughout the project.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4-8 years of experience within project management, preferred
Experience with managing projects within an HR function, preferred
Experience with HR due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, preferred
Experience with HR technology platforms such as Workday and HR ServiceNow, preferred
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Works on complex projects of large scope
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects
Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
