The role includes the following:
Essential Functions*:
HR Risk Management:
Act as the risk champion for HR across MBE, partnering with 1st and 2nd line of Defense teams to identify HR risks, strengthen controls and deliver mitigating actions
Support the Head of HR in oversight and reporting of HR controls execution and reporting
Ensure timely and accurate risk events and issues reporting to senior management and 1st/2nd line of Defense
Responsible for overseeing enhancements resulting from internal or external audit findings, supporting the Head of HR with ensuring HR delivery and liaison with Internal Audit
Support HR with Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) requirements, in partnership with the Data Protection Officer
Lead on regulatory horizon scanning and coordination across the MBE HR team, supporting Head of HR with team execution
HR Operations improvements:
Responsible for building the HR process improvements roadmap, aligned with local/regional/global stakeholders, aimed at delivering seamless, positive and efficient employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle – leveraging our global Workday platform
Responsible for implementing the HR process improvements roadmap on time, within defined scope and budget
Identify opportunities to improve current processes and practices and drive projects utilizing data and technology
Responsible for maintaining and improving HR Data Quality
Responsible for maintaining and developing HR and Payroll articles on MUFG’s employee platform, enabling employee and manager self-service and reduced incoming volumes of queries to HR
Responsible for maintaining and developing HR process documentation
HR Vendor Management:
Responsible for partnering with the Procurement function to ensure HR vendors compliance with internal and external regulations
Responsible for the outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management process within HR, in partnership with the Resilience team
HR Project Support:
Responsible for delivering HR Operations change requirements, including process and Workday, for enterprise and HR projects by working through the HRSS team and relevant stakeholders
Support HR with IT Delivery, acting as key liaison for the team
Team leadership:
Develop and manage a team of one to two Analysts
Be an ambassador for the 'One MUFG' vision and bring it to life in EMEA HR
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Skills and experience:
Experience in managing a team within a shared services environment, preferably within financial services or another regulated sector.
Experience working in an international matrix organization, managing teams and stakeholders in different locations.
Demonstrated ability to lead structured continuous improvement programs leveraging Lean/Si Sigma principles to optimize processes and reduce risks
Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrated ability to establish and utilize a network of effective relationships within a global setting
Advanced knowledge of HRIT systems and demonstrated experience driving HR process automation initiatives, including workflow optimization and system integrations
Demonstrated risk management skills
Demonstrating a high level of literacy and numeracy sufficient to undertake complex letter writing and reports, statistical analysis of performance data and complex calculations.
Being results driven, with a strong sense of accountability whilst comfortable making decisions demonstrating the ability of having sound judgement.
Managing conflicting priorities and re-prioritize work accordingly.
Managing large workloads and tight deadlines and maintaining a calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurized environment.
