As part of this expansion, we are creating a new HR & Payroll Specialist role based in Belgrade, Serbia. You will join an established and collaborative team and play a key role in supporting our growing, multi-country workforce. This role sits within our International Employee Experience team and acts as a first point of contact for payroll and HR operations queries, with a strong emphasis on multi-country payroll delivery, accuracy, compliance, and employee experience.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment and is motivated to improve processes, leverage technology, and contribute to a better-than-expected employee experience through automation and self-service.

We're looking for someone who: 

  • Has proven hands-on experience delivering payroll operations in a multi-country European environment
  • Is comfortable managing high volumes of payroll and HR queries in a dynamic, international setting
  • Has strong experience working with external payroll providers as well as internal payroll processes
  • Is a confident, independent worker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Is highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Brings a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for more efficient and scalable ways of working
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Has experience using SuccessFactors and/or Workday (highly beneficial)
  • Has a solid understanding of employee relations fundamentals and payroll-related legal and compliance requirements

 

What you'll be doing: 

Payroll (approx. 70%)

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple European countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations
  • Working closely with external payroll providers, while managing selected payroll activities in-house
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for multi-country payroll queries, responding accurately and efficiently
  • Investigating and resolving payroll issues with a solutions-focused mindset, keeping employee experience in front of mind
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing administration of flexible benefits and payroll-linked deductions
  • Ensuring payroll-related data is accurate, complete, and up to date in HRIS and other relevant systems
  • Continuously reviewing payroll processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency

HR Operations & Administration (approx. 30%)

  • Supporting contract administration and employee documentation across the full employee lifecycle
  • Managing onboarding, contractual changes, and offboarding with strong attention to detail and employee experience
  • Handling a high volume of HR and operational queries, balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance
  • Working effectively within a matrix organization, partnering with HR, Finance, and external vendors
  • Providing operational support on employee relations matters, with awareness of local legal considerations
  • Maintaining accurate employee data and ensuring confidentiality, data protection, and compliance

General

  • Partnering closely with HR, Payroll, and People Partner teams to ensure smooth handovers and clear ownership
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers
  • Supporting and contributing to HR and Payroll projects aligned with business and growth objectives
  • Providing operational input and guidance to People Partners
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve HR and payroll processes as the organization scales
