The Role & the Team

To support the development and transformation of our industrial site in Alcobendas (near Madrid - Spain), we are looking for an experienced HR Manager (M/F) to join Roquette in a permanent position.

Reporting to the Head of HR Europe - Health & Pharma Solutions and based at the Alcobendas site (approximately 220 employees), you will act as the local HR leader, fully accountable for all HR activities on site while actively contributing to transformation projects.

You will be a member of the local leadership team, working closely with plant management, and remain strongly connected to Roquette’s global HR teams.

You will manage a small local HR team (2 direct reports – administration, recruitment & learning) and act as a hands‑on HR partner for managers and employees.

Roquette’s HR teams support business performance by combining strong field presence, expertise across HR domains and alignment with Group policies.

In Spain, the HR function plays a key role in maintaining social dialogue, supporting managers, ensuring compliance and driving people development in an industrial, regulated environment.

In This Context, Your Mission

As HR Manager, you are responsible for the full HR scope of the Alcobendas industrial site, combining operational HR leadership with strategic contribution to change and transformation initiatives.

Your Experience and Talents Will Make the Difference to:

HR Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted HR partner for the Site Director and the local leadership team.
  • Advise and support managers on all HR matters: organization, people management, performance, employee relations.
  • Manage the headcount and personnel cost budget in line with business objectives.

Compensation, Performance & Talent Management

  • Implement compensation & benefits policies, grading systems and salary band models defined by Roquette Group, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Drive the performance management process, supporting managers and employees through training, workshops and performance analysis.
  • Lead succession planning and talent identification in collaboration with Global HR and the VP HR.
  • Run talent reviews, development programs, internal mobility initiatives, mentoring and coaching actions.

Learning, Development & Talent Acquisition

  • Design and deploy training and development plans: needs analysis, innovative learning approaches, budget management, supplier selection and negotiations.
  • Define and implement the talent acquisition plan, ensuring recruitment needs are covered efficiently and on time.

Employee Relations, Administration & Compliance

  • Supervise personnel administration, payroll, labor relations and organizational processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with Spanish labor law, Social Security, Tax Agency and all legal obligations.
  • Demonstrate strong capability to manage constructive and effective relations with employees’ representatives and unions, ensuring high‑quality social dialogue in an industrial context.
  • Manage the complaints and ethics reporting channels, including investigations when required.
  • Promote internal regulations and compliance policies, ensuring alignment with Roquette’s Code of Ethics.
  • Design, maintain and communicate the Compliance Program at site level.

Health, Safety & Well‑Being

  • Provide managers with the support, tools and resources needed to ensure the health and safety of their teams.
  • Ensure middle management receives appropriate training to meet their H&S responsibilities.

Change & Transformation

  • Actively contribute to a changing environment, supporting transformation and continuous improvement projects impacting organization, processes and people.

You are hands‑on, structured and resilient, with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and business understanding.
You enjoy working in multinational organizations, navigating between local needs and global frameworks, and leading through change.

Education

  • University degree required (HR, Business, Law, Engineering or equivalent).

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an HR managerial role.
  • Proven experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Solid background in multinational organizations.

Skills

  • Strong expertise across all HR domains: recruitment, learning & development, performance management, compensation, employee relations, culture & engagement.
  • Good knowledge of compensation methodologies.
  • Strong business understanding and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead, influence and support managers in a demanding operational context.

Languages

  • High level of English required (professional fluency) – 1st interview conducted in English.
