We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead the people agenda for our Noviko and Calibra businesses in Brno. This is a senior, hands‑on HR business partner role, working closely with local leadership to translate commercial strategy into effective, pragmatic people solutions.
You’ll balance strategic influence with operational leadership, ensuring strong employee experience, legal compliance, and alignment with Covetrus’ regional and global HR direction.
What you’ll be doing
Act as a trusted HR partner to Managing Directors and leadership teams, advising on organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations and change
Drive engagement, culture and performance initiatives that support business growth and retention
Balance local business priorities with regional strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment, timely execution and stakeholder buy-in
Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to support hiring activity, with local involvement where language or market knowledge is required
Oversee HR administration across the employee lifecycle, delivered by the local HR team, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance with Czech labour law
Provide oversight of payroll and benefits activities, working closely with local specialists together with support of HR Centre of Excellence
Support managers with performance management, feedback, development and complex people matters
Contribute to leadership development, talent planning and succession for key roles
Use people data and insights to inform decision‑making and continuously improve HR processes and ways of working
Lead and develop the local HR team, setting clear direction and standards while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in a senior or managerial HR role, ideally in an international or matrixed environment
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
Confidence partnering with senior leaders and influencing at all levels
Experience overseeing HR operations such as payroll, benefits and HR administration (not necessarily doing the processing yourself)
Solid experience working with Workday and MS Office 365, alongside a strong interest in digital HR, data, AI and automation to support scalable and efficient HR delivery
Pragmatic, people‑focused and commercially minded, with a collaborative leadership style
