ABOUT THE JOB

As HR Manager for Belgium & the Netherlands, you will lead the people agenda across both corporate and retail populations, partnering closely with senior leaders at local, European and global level.

Based in our European HQ in Brussels, this is a highly visible HR Business Partner role with responsibility for organisational effectiveness, employee relations, leadership capability and talent outcomes. You will translate European and business priorities into local people strategies that drive performance, engagement and inclusion.

Reporting to the VP HR Europe, this role leads a dedicated HR team based in Brussels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the HR strategy for Belgium and the Netherlands, translating European and business priorities into local people plans.
  • Act as the primary HR Business Partner to corporate, retail and functional leaders, providing credible advice and constructive challenge.
  • Partner closely with global HR and business teams to support organisations with employees based in Belgium, balancing local requirements with global needs.
  • Lead organisational design, restructures and change initiatives, including planning, consultation, communications and execution.
  • Own Employee Relations for Belgium and the Netherlands across corporate and retail populations, managing complex and sensitive cases end‑to‑end.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local Works Councils and employee representatives, leading information and consultation processes.
  • Lead EU Works Council governance, including agenda setting, cadence, preparation of materials and stakeholder coordination.
  • Drive talent planning, succession and development for key roles in partnership with Talent Acquisition and HR COEs.
  • Use people data and business metrics to diagnose issues and drive action plans with measurable impact.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Brussels HR team, ensuring strong stakeholder partnership and effective coverage.
  • Provide governance and oversight of core HR operations (payroll, benefits, HR services) and vendor performance.
  • Partner with Finance on workforce planning, forecasting and HR‑related cost management.

ABOUT YOU

  • Significant experience operating in a senior HR leadership or HR Business Partnering role within a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Proven ability to operate at senior stakeholder level, influencing and challenging leaders with confidence and credibility.
  • Strong experience in Employee Relations and consultation processes, including Works Councils (Belgium and/or Netherlands experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience leading organisational change, restructures or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to link people decisions to business performance and outcomes.
  • Comfortable partnering with global teams while applying local labour‑law and cultural requirements.
  • Fluent in English; French and Dutch are important for this role (we may be flexible for exceptional profiles).
  • A collaborative, resilient and forward‑thinking leadership style, with a focus on continuous improvement and impact.

This is a hybrid position based in our Brussels Office. You will be expected to be in the office three days per week, though time in office may vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range 90,800 – 121,000 Euros for this role is per year. The amount an employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and our needs. Salary ranges may vary by location and currency. Where roles are advertised across multiple locations, local ranges will apply.
