This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

The Human Resources (HR) division is responsible for the integral assistance of employees. 

The Opportunity: 

To successfully introduce AI augmentation within HR, it is essential to enhance and optimize existing processes, which will accelerate the adoption of new technologies while removing operational barriers, enabling advisors to dedicate more time to meaningful human interactions.

By strategically streamlining HR workflows and minimizing friction points, the Product Manager will help create an environment where automation and AI solutions effectively complement the expertise of HR advisors. This approach not only supports the efficient implementation of intelligent systems but also ensures that routine inquiries are handled seamlessly by AI, allowing advisors to focus on more complex and people-centric matters.

As these enhancements are integrated, the focus remains to balance technological advancement with the need for genuine human connection, ultimately elevating both the efficiency and quality of HR services.

The Role

Design and govern exact criteria where AI takes the lead in HR workflows versus when humans step in. Ensure reliable and predictable handoffs to protect compliance and employee experience metrics.

Defining boundaries between AI and humans will help to foster an agile partnership to improve employee experience

This purposeful delineation between AI and human involvement will be established through clear governance policies and rigorous testing of workflow boundaries. The Product Manager will continuously monitor performance metrics and feedback, refining the partnership to ensure that both technology and human expertise are leveraged optimally within HR processes.

How you will make your mark

  • Design decision trees and escalation logic for HR processes

  • Create and maintain AI to Human workflows

  • Identify risk thresholds where human review is mandatory

  • Standardized operational guidelines for ineligible AI scenarios

  • Document exception paths

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, HRBPs, and process owners

In addition to these responsibilities, the Product Manager will employ advanced analytical techniques to design robust decision trees and escalation logic, ensuring HR processes are both efficient and transparent. By creating and maintaining seamless AI-to-human workflows, the role will enable the effective handoff of complex cases while identifying risk thresholds that trigger mandatory human review. Standardized operational guidelines will be developed for scenarios where AI is not eligible to make decisions, and exception paths will be thoroughly documented to ensure clarity and compliance. Collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance, HR Business Partners, and process owners, the Product Manager will help sustain a governance framework that aligns automation with organizational policy, safeguarding both operational integrity and employee experience.

About you:

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically, 4-8 years of related experience in HR Tech project management, process optimization, and collaboration with multidisciplinary functional teams.

  • Participation or collaboration on AI / Automation use cases – HR, Workforce, and Business outcomes.

  • Ability to communicate AI concepts to non-technical HR partners.

  • Experience in automation solutions.

  • Experience in process standardization and optimization.

  • Experience managing projects related to HPE global programs and partnering with designated program leads.

  • Able to understand data, create meaningful analysis, and share business insights. - Strong analytical skills. 

  • An out-of-the-box mindset that does not hesitate to challenge the status quo. 

  • Passion for customer experience and commitment to AI / Automation transformations
