Department Overview

In the HR department of the Travel & Mobility business, we are tackling various challenges in collaboration with the management team to achieve Rakuten Travel's goal of becoming the No.1 OTA (Online Travel Agency) in Asia.

Position Details

You will be responsible for HR operations primarily related to the domestic business within the Travel & Mobility Business.

- Performance evaluation Management:
Managing operational aspects related to performance evaluations.
Formulating and disseminating evaluation and compensation policies.
- Labor Relations & Welfare:
Responding to employee inquiries and consultations (e.g., HR interviews).
Managing various labor-related metrics (e.g., working hours, overtime, health check-ups).
Handling operations related to industrial physician consultations, leave of absence, and return-to-work processes.
- Employment Contract & Policy Administration:
Managing employment contract renewals.
Processing changes in employment types.
Developing, disseminating, and promoting various HR-related guidelines.
- Group companies HR Operations:
Overall HR duties, including payroll and social insurance, new hire and termination management, and evaluation processes.
- Other:
Planning and execution of various HR initiatives.
We may ask you to participate in PJT, which is a work within a team, or PJT, which is carried out by a department beyond a team, or project management.

Work Environment

Our Human Resources & General Affairs Office consists of 18 members, including the manager from both junior and experienced professionals.

Background of mid-career hires
- Experience in administrative departments within the wholesale and retail industry
- Experience as a flight attendant at an airline

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to embrace change positively and act with flexibility and speed
- Problem-solving skills based on smooth communication with management and on-site staff
- Proactive attitude to identify issues, organize information, and propose and implement solutions
- Business-level English proficiency (native level, TOEIC 800 or equivalent)

Desired Qualifications:

- HR experience in a business company or consulting experience in the HR field
- Experience using HR systems and databases
- Possession of HR-related qualifications (e.g., Certified Social Insurance and Labor Consultant, HRBP)
- Experience in problem-solving using data
- Experience in managing and promoting projects within and across departments
- Experience in managing multiple team members

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
