Role Summary
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) for Investment Services serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to senior leaders for selected sub-divisions of the Investment Services Businesses. The initial focus of the role will be on the Global Product Function, CRD, and Alpha; however, the client base may evolve over time.
This role is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving talent initiatives, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture. The HRBP will collaborate closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) as well as global and regional HR colleagues to deliver integrated solutions that support organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
This role is going to be based in State Street’s One Congress Street location and will be required to be in the Boston office 4 days a week
Key Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals, including workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management / succession planning.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, providing coaching and guidance on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and change management.
Lead and support enterprise-wide initiatives such as performance management, talent development, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with COEs (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Relations) to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
Monitor and analyze workforce metrics to inform decision-making and identify trends or risks.
Represent HR in governance forums, executive meetings, and cross-functional working groups.
Champion a culture of inclusion, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic business partner role supporting senior leadership.
Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization, including C-suite.
Strong business acumen and good understanding of the global financial service industry, preferably with focus on Investment Services
Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Deep knowledge of HR disciplines including talent management, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development.
Experience operating in a matrixed, global organization.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
