Job Summary: You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT) in the HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT GROUP AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The incumbent serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Employee Development) responsible for planning and the administration of training and educational activities. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, Maryland.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band (DA-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Teaching and publicly speaking to a workforce in order to develop and promote strategic training programs and services; 2) Creating training objectives, content, and curricula in order to administer training and educational activities using training and/or presentation development software; 3) Overseeing the planning and delivery of on-site and virtual training courses and programs to improve the current knowledge and skills of the workforce, provide developmental opportunities; and ensure that courses and programs are available to support the workforce; 4) Researching, developing, and promoting training through position and workforce analysis; 5) Assisting management in determining workforce development requirements and in developing Individual Development Plans ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives to include analysis of critical skill needs; and 6) Providing consultative services relative to changing technologies, obsolete workforce skills and challenges of organizations in transition.
