Role Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in partnering with leaders to drive business performance through effective people strategies, policies and initiatives. The HRBP acts as a hands-on consultant and coach to managers and teams, ensuring HR initiatives are practical, aligned with operational priorities, and directly support workforce productivity and engagement. Partner with multiple functions including Commercial, R&D, GMS, and ZCS, with a primary focus on the Commercial organization. The incumbent will also be responsible for partnering with our Payroll and benefits vendor(s) and internal Finance colleagues to ensure that colleagues are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
Talent Management & Development
- Partner with hiring managers to attract and select candidates who fit both skill requirements and company culture.
- Support recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Administer the preparation of new hire documentation and onboarding onto Workday
- Facilitate employee development initiatives, including training, coaching, and career planning.
- Work with the business and Head of HR SEASA to develop retention strategies including onboarding, recognition, and career pathing.
HR Business Partnering Support
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders to understand business challenges and workforce needs.
- Translate business objectives into actionable HR plans focused on workforce planning, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Provide practical HR guidance on organizational structure, role clarity, and team dynamics to optimize operational efficiency.
- Work with business areas and Head of HR SEASA to ensure the effective development, implementation, and application of a range of relevant HR frameworks, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support in the areas of coaching, guiding, providing advice and assistance on best practice people management.
- Respond to colleague and leader enquiries in relation to HR practices and policies.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as a first point of contact for managers on employee relations issues, providing coaching on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Work with the Head of HR SEASA to manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Ensure that Zoetis policies and procedures are maintained and revised in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Undertake internal audits and accreditation requirements, HR data, and accreditation and compliance reporting
- Represent the function and support statutory audit, tax audit and other internal audits
- Ensure compliance with HR related SOX processes.
- Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.
Change Management
- Support organizational change initiatives and communicate changes effectively.
- Help managers and employees navigate transitions smoothly.
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and propose solutions.
- Prepare reports for leadership on workforce analytics, turnover, and other key indicators.
Health & Safety
- Manage workers compensation claims and premium renewals.
Colleague Wellbeing
- Develop & Lead initiatives and programmes to promote colleague wellness and wellbeing.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to continual improvement process’ and systems and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Training & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Masters degree will be added advantage.
- Current passport and valid driving licence
- IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner or consultative role in India
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner or consultative role preferably in India. Team handling experience for 3 years
Travel Requirement
- Regular travel within the country
