Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare has an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management team in the Upper Midwest region as a Project Specialist – Mobile Imaging Programs. In this role, you will own the project management and implementation process for GE HealthCare Imaging projects, with a specific focus on supporting and providing coverage for Mobile/Transportable system installations and upgrades.

You will serve as a key operational partner to the Mobile Program Manager, helping ensure continuity of execution, customer communication, and project delivery when the Program Manager is unavailable. This role is critical to maintaining consistent project performance, minimizing risk, and ensuring uninterrupted customer support across our mobile imaging portfolio.

The Project Specialist is a remote, customer-facing position that requires field presence ~50% of the time. The ideal candidate will reside in the Cedar Rapids, IA, Chicago, IL, or Milwaukee or La Crosse, WI metro areas.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities required to ensure assigned projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational goals, departmental policies, and contractual terms.
  • Coordinate remotely with Customers, Order Management, Manufacturing, and Field Teams (Installation, Clinical Education, Sales) to ensure timely delivery, installation, commissioning, and upgrade of imaging systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, risk identification, and clearly assigned responsibilities.
  • Create, update, and distribute comprehensive project documentation such as contact lists, schedules, meeting summaries, risk logs, and action item trackers.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Healthcare Project Management and Shared Services performance metrics.
  • Identify, propose, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, communication effectiveness, scalability, and overall customer experience.
  • Serve as primary backup and operational coverage for the Mobile Program Manager, supporting Mobile Coach System installations and upgrades during planned or unplanned absences.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Mobile Coach System lifecycle, including order review, site readiness, logistics coordination, installation sequencing, and upgrade execution.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams and customers on mobile projects when coverage is required, ensuring continuity of communication, issue resolution, and project execution.
  • Proactively monitor mobile project schedules, risks, and dependencies to identify potential issues early and escalate appropriately to minimize impact.
  • Support the standardization of mobile project documentation, processes, and best practices to reduce single-threaded dependency and improve operational resilience.
  • Partner closely with the Mobile Program Manager and Senior Project Manager to ensure smooth transitions of project ownership and consistent execution across coverage periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year experience in project management; or Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in project management or technical field; or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 3 years progressive experience in project management.
  • Ability to monitor and manage critical path elements of consolidated projects.
  • Experience managing revenue generating projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight stays when needed.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license.
  • Must live within the territory (ND, SD, NE, IA, IL, WI, MI, MN)

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $94,400.00-$141,600.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
