Role Summary

The Chief of Staff for HP Solutions Finance is a strategic partner who translates the leader’s vision and priorities into action across the organization. Serving as a communicator, enabler, and connector, the Chief of Staff bridges financial leadership with operational execution and cross-functional alignment.

This role oversees all critical initiatives, connects the dots across teams, anticipates needs, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks as the organization executes its strategy. In doing so, the Chief of Staff drives clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution across HP Solutions Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as a key communications leader, crafting executive messaging for leadership forums and internal meetings. The CoS ensures clear, consistent communication across the finance organization and aligns messaging with corporate priorities and culture.

  • Drives operational excellence and execution of strategic initiatives, enabling the leadership team to focus on top priorities. The CoS removes roadblocks, establishes efficient business processes and cadences, and supports transformation and change management efforts to ensure smooth execution.

  • Translates strategy into action, monitors progress on key initiatives, ensures follow-through on priorities, helps prioritize resources for high-impact work, synthesizes insights for decision-making, and prepares executive briefings that align leadership on goals and outcomes.

  • Optimizes leadership engagement by designing effective leadership meetings and agenda management. Partners closely with the leader to define agendas, ensure focus on the right topics, and provide pre-read materials in advance. Facilitates discussions, maintains focus, and documents decisions and action items, ensuring timely follow-up and execution.

  • Connects across the enterprise by acting as a bridge between the CFO’s office and key partners across HP. Liaises with L2 and L3 leaders, Chiefs of Staff, HR Business Partners, and functional teams to ensure alignment and information flow. Anticipates interdependencies and resolves friction points, enabling coordinated execution across functions.

  • Drives key initiatives by overseeing critical projects, strategic programs, and special initiatives. Acts as a program manager to ensure alignment on objectives, clear timelines, tracking OKRs, and removal of execution barriers. Leads ad-hoc special projects such as F2F, transformation initiatives, and culture and engagement programs, driving accountability through structured follow-up and clear ownership.

  • Leads and optimizes the organization’s spend in close partnership with Global Functions. Gives visibility to the leadership team, ensuring cost discipline, and driving transparency across budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.

Experience

  • +15 or more years of progressive experience in Finance, Strategy, or Operations roles within complex organizations

  • Direct experience supporting or partnering with Senior Vice Presidents or executive leaders

  • Proven track record leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience operating in global environments across time zones, with willingness to travel as needed

  • Demonstrated success in presenting to executive audiences and facilitating large group sessions or trainings

  • Experience driving change management or transformation initiatives

  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills

  • High business judgment and ability to operate with discretion and autonomy

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading through change

  • Strong executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
