Powerhouse Arts is a not-for-profit organization committed to creative expression. Housed in a purpose-built-facility in Brooklyn, the organization hosts an extended network of art and fabrication professionals and educators who work together to co-create and share artistic practices vital to the well-being of artists and the communities to which they serve. Our facilities house fabrication services, production services, production spaces, and member workshops for artisans. In 2025, PHA welcomed thousands of patrons as the building became a center for art and performance.
As Powerhouse Arts continues to grow and expand its impact, we are seeking a Part-Time House Manager to join our Visitor Services team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the success of events by supporting Visitor Services operations and delivering a seamless, positive guest experience. The House Manager oversees Front of House support staff (including greeters, ushers, and ticket scanners), ensures excellent customer service across all front-of-house touchpoints, and provides basic support for ticketing and registration systems. Working closely with the events and programming teams, this position helps ensure events run smoothly in a dynamic, guest-centered environment. The House Manager will report to the Associate Director of Ticketing & Visitor Services.

Hours + Compensation: The hourly rate for this role ranges from $28 to $30, depending on experience. There is no set shift; the ideal candidates will be able to pick up shifts as needed and assist with special events. Candidates should have flexibility and availability to support a range of scheduling needs.
