As our Hotel Services Assistant (Housekeeping and Cleaning) you will be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team that is committed to creating a welcoming, professional and caring environment for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Bardon. This role provides a high quality of hospitality services, including food services. They work with residents to support their lifestyle and food choices and ensure they feel safe, valued and respected. They work as an effective household member and is supervised by the Hotel Services Manager. This role is responsible for assisting residents with the wellbeing of residents through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties.
All positions contribute to the provision of quality and sustainable health services within the ethos of the philosophy, mission, values and ethics of St Vincent’s Health Australia.

Things that work for us:
Availability to work on CASUAL basis, different AM and PM shifts
Previous cleaning and food services experience in a Hospital/Aged Care environment.
Training certificate related to Cleaning and Food Services like Certificate in hospitality, Food handling, Kitchen management, etc (preferred but not essential)
Understanding of Infection Control practices
Comfortable developing a relationship with each resident in your care, building trust and familiarity and supporting everyone’s personal space to be homelike, respectful and safe
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
High level of customer service skills
Know, understand, and adhere to the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety standards
Ability to follow directives as per care plan
NDIS clearance (mandatory)
