Purpose of Job:
The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested. They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.
Job Components:
Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed
Load and unload batteries
General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers.
Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies
Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation.
Accurately complete reports and claims
Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers.
Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fork lift.
Must have current, valid state driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
Scope Data:
Works under general supervision and guidance
Accountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.
Work Environment:
Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
Repetitive lifting.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking.
Must be able to drive a fork lift
Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
Use of PPE required
