Overview:

Sentara Hospice is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Home Health Aide.

Position Status: Part Time - Day Shift

Position Location: Newport News, VA

Hourly Range: $15.75 - $20.45

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Overview

Home Health Aides will perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding, intake/output, ambulation, and assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home or hospice facility.

Certification/Licensure

• CNA (Required)
• First Aid Basics (Required)
• BLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience

• Basic and routine patient care
• Personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding
• Intake/output
• Ambulation
• Assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home
