Hire Desk & Logistics Team Lead - North Asia

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Hire Desk and Logistics Team Leader based in Chiba or Tokyo. You’ll lead customer-facing teams across operations and fleet planning, customer service, logistics, and invoicing, with overall accountability for optimising the customer experience across North Asia.

What you’ll do as Hire Desk and Logistics Team Leader:

  • Deliver efficient operational deployment through proactive planning and effective quality management of hire activities.

  • Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, maintain high service standards, and uphold the company’s commitment to outstanding customer service, ultimately increasing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. 

  • Maximize customer value by optimizing end-to-end operational activities, including hire desk operations, fleet, logistics and billing 

  • Strengthening cross-functional and cross-country collaboration, removing organizational barriers and fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture 

  • Lead and manage the Hire Desk team, ensuring customer experience standards and key touchpoint outcomes are consistently achieved and improved 

You are:

  • A hands on professional, with a minimum of 5 years experience in a hire desk and logistics role and a strong understanding of end-to-end operational execution  

  • Strongly capable of making quality decisions under rapidly changing conditions, with clear accountability for frontline operational performance  

  • Highly accurate with great attention to detail in contract management, billing, and KPI operations, with the ability to drive process improvements through ERP systems  

  • Skilled to an advanced level in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and data-driven performance analysis  

  • An excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with global and regional stakeholders while prioritizing customer value and speed of execution 

  • Team Leadership experience would be advantageous but is not essential

  • Knowledge of trade regulations across the region is highly desirable
