Job Description:
Inside of TADY’s CoC (Systems Centre of Competence), Highly Integrated Systems (HIS) is a newly created organization (Domain) with specific responsibilities in Multisystem Architectures, Airborne Computing Platforms, IMA and Modular Integration, HW/SW Certification and Infrastructure and Digitalization, acting as Multisystem and IMA Design Office and providing transversal support and services to the whole System’s CoC. This organization has been created to evolve and prepare the CoC’s organization to the new challenges and paradigms in the Systems design, to attend current and future customer needs and to foster reuse, common strategies alignment, economy of scale, multisystem architectures and digitalization. The aim is to deliver cross-functional strategies, artefacts and support for the design, development and certification of AirPower systems by centralizing competencies, expertise and activities to act as Multisystem Design Office
Inside the Multisystem Design Office, HIS is looking for a Highly Integrated System Architect and Project Leader for one of Airbus' UAV programs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
At the earliest stages of the system lifecycle, HIS Architect contributes to the definition of the aircraft-level system concept by capturing operational needs and translating them into high-level technical and performance requirements. Through the HIS Architecture competencies, HIS defines the digital backbone for future system integration, encompassing avionics processing needs, communications, timing, and modularity constraints. HIS Architect supports the functions allocation, the Multisystems architecture decisions, plans definitions... performing all the analysis and trade offs necessary for making these decisions while supporting DOs for preparing their activities.
HIS Architect leads integration and validation from L3 up to L1 by coordinating Module Integrator and IV&V Integrator with the support of Platform and HW/SW-SW/SW integrators and coordinating, supporting and compiling System and SW Design Offices evidences.
Responsibilities:
To lead the implementation of methodology in TADY for the process of Realization of Aircraft Systems (implementation, integration, verification) when sharing computing infrastructure. The goal of such methodology is to minimize dependencies between the realization of separate Aircraft Systems.
To define, to manage and to develop the functional architecture of the Multisystem to be implemented into platform resources and SW applications.
To hold Technical Authority on aircraft computing/network infrastructure when shared by more than one aircraft systems.
The main function of this shared infrastructure is to provide robustly partitioned resources to the User Systems. This shared computing/network infrastructure becomes a specific aircraft system, usually assigned ATA 42 - IMA.
To lead the implementation of methodology in TADY for the process of Definition (requirements/architecture/design) of Aircraft Systems when these systems share computing/network infrastructure.
To establish reference functional Multisystem architectures that enable reuse in multiple programs, reuse of SW applications in multiple platforms and manage platform obsolescence with minimum SW development effort.
Skills
For such purposes the following skills are required:
Advanced level of knowledge of Aircraft System Design
Advanced level of knowledge of MBSE
Advanced level of knowledge of Matlab Simulink
Advanced level of knowledge of Aircraft and System Architecture
Advanced level of knowledge of Systems V&V Processes at L1/L2/L3 levels (Definition, Coordination, Execution, Qualification, Formalization)
Advanced level of knowledge of Certification process
Demonstrated experience in the definition and execution of End-to-End Operational Test Scenarios
Demonstrated experience with the usage of Multisystem Integration Test RIGs
Language Skills: English at negotiation level.
Leadership capabilities to guide its team and other teams into adopting strategies and methods.
Self-determination to be able to identify new opportunities of improvement and to make decisions autonomously.
Additional valuable skills
Virtual Engineering/Digital Twins knowledge.
