Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Health Services Specialist. Join our Corporate Health Services team as a full-time Support Specialist, providing operational, financial, and clinical support. This role ensures accurate processing of third-party medical invoices, coordination of employee job-related testing, EMR management, and reporting metrics development. The position supports process improvement, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as the main point of contact representing Health Services for all third-party clinic services and payment processing.
Analyzes invoices and verifies appropriate job-related medical exams have been completed through the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Serve as an SAP/S4 system expertise to support data integrity and reporting.
Properly archives copies of processed invoices and maintain lists of outstanding invoices due to missing medical test results.
Contacts third-party clinics to obtain missing results and request revision of inaccurate medical invoices.
Maintains accurate contact and billing information along with establishing additional third-party clinics as vendors by obtaining necessary payment information to input to Vendor Management system.
Provide operational support to the MPLX nursing team, including assisting with 3rd party employee testing notification packets and coordinating with third-party clinics for testing results.
Upload employee testing results and questionnaire data into the EMR and assign tasks for clinical review.
Collaborates with MPC Health Services clinicians, third-party clinics, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Management Teams.
Monitor the Health Services and Invoice Health Services general mailbox.
Collect and distribute department mail.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in healthcare operations, invoice processing, or administrative support in a clinical or corporate environment.
Experience with SAP/S4 systems, EMR workflows, or similar enterprise systems preferred.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Editor or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a willingness to enhance skills in Power Query.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when managing records, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Effective time management to manage high volume of invoices, multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Ability to interact and collaborate with diverse groups including leaders, clinicians, informatics analysts, wellness professionals and external partners.
Ability to adapt to changing processes, systems, and workflow needs.
High level of accountability and attention to detail in ensuring accuracy and compliance.
