We are looking for Global Head PMO SPM Operations.
The Head PMO SPM Operations acts as a trusted partner to the SPM Ops Head and manufacturing sites in the SPM network, enabling effective leadership alignment, disciplined execution, and Projects Portfolio management. The role ensures robust governance, and professional program management in line with Lonza’s values and performance culture.
Key responsibilities:
Leadership Partnership & Enablement
Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the SPM Ops Head and network sites, providing independent perspectives, structured insights and follow-ups.
Support leadership alignment, prioritization, and effective decision making across site and network topics.
Drive complex, cross-functional initiatives across the SPM network.
Drive the culture of continuous improvements throughout the sites
Ensure synergies and local improvements will be shared within the wider network
Portfolio Management Officer
Establish and operate a robust PMO framework to manage strategic projects across the sites and Ops global functions
Define governance standards, project management methodologies, and reporting structures aligned with Lonza standards
Ensure clear scope, ownership, milestones, dependencies, and resource alignment for all major projects
Track progress, risks, issues, and benefits realization, providing transparent and fact-based reporting to senior leadership
Proactively identify delivery risks and enable timely escalation and corrective actions.
Governance and Planning
Support the SPM Ops head to develop and implement the mid- and long-term strategy and roll-out to the sites: yearly X-matrix, BSR, OE roadmap, Site Master Planning
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate SPM Ops leadership meetings, including but not limited to weekly huddle, monthly meeting, Site business reviews (ACO), and PLT Ops Committee
Ensure high-quality preparation of agendas, materials, decision proposals, and follow-up documentation
Prepare documentation such as ppt or excel for various business reviews, meetings with senior management or townhalls
Track leadership decisions and actions and ensure disciplined follow-through and closure
Key requirements:
Post graduate degree e.g. MSc Biological sciences or Biochemical Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in manufacturing operations or project management
Experience of working with multi-disciplined teams both within and between sites
Excellent understanding of project management and project management tools
Strong background in program and project management
High integrity, resilience, attention to detail, and the ability to drive execution in a complex, matrix-driven manufacturing and network environment
Demonstrable track record of delivering results, through teams, supporting the business strategy / objectives
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective cross-functional communicator
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Acts as a technical leader works across functions with excellent communication skills both oral and written – approachable and respected
