Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Real Asset Fund Administration team within the Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) division in Singapore. This is an opportunity to join a global leader organization in financial services providing services to some of the world's most sophisticated institutions

What you will be responsible for

· Provide overall direction to department managers and subordinate staff to assure synchronized teamwork that accomplishes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly deliverables.

· Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients at appropriate levels to ensure continued confidence in State Street and ensuring expectations.

· Work closely with senior management in APAC and Globally to achieve business and operational goals.

· Participate in new business pitches including requests for proposals, prospect presentations, staffing allocations, fee proposals, etc.

· Demonstrate deep knowledge of private market fund structures and show proficiency in accounting for complex transactions, understanding investment fund legal documents and guiding your teams in implementing standard methodologies.

· Prepare / Review deliverables for clients in a timely manner (as stipulated by the SLA).

· Supervise staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

· Work with our investor services team regarding client deliverables such as financial statements, capital calls and distribution notices

· Work with other home site and hub locations on productivity, quality improvement, KPI and efficiency projects.

· Lead and participate in projects across the alternatives department, in particular those which look to mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency and deliver outstanding client service.

· Be a source of technical support and guidance to the offshore teams including becoming a mentor, conducting regular training to upskill the offshore teams, and travelling to the offshore location in Asia to provide advanced training.

· Model professionalism and ethical behaviors in all interactions, both internal and external.

· Develop and execute business plans both internally and in partnership with clients.

· Ensure process and procedures are adequate to meet quality standards and are consistently applied and regularly reviewed within department.

· Review limited partnership agreements and offering memorandums and ensure compliance with operational and accounting procedures.

· Support new business integration and ensure operating models are designed to deliver best of breed service to clients bringing to bear our global footprint.

· Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are followed.

· Meet all requirements for the performance planning process including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals.

· Spearhead special projects and serve on committees and taskforce assignments that could be in non-APAC time zones.

What we value

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Candidate must have a college degree (business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus) and at least 10 years of accounting experience, including 2 to 3 years of supervisory and financial reporting experience is required. Specific experience in the private equity/real estate industry is a must. Strong interpersonal skills, positive, can-do attitude, meticulous are essential. Strong computer skills are required

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Real Estate or Private Equity Fund Accounting.

• Experience in the real estate alternative asset industry is preferred.

• Fluent in English & Mandarin is a plus.

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of Oracle Financials and/or Investran is preferred.

• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel is a plus.
