POSITION TITLE: Senior Analyst

Summary:

The candidate will be responsible to audit and perform detailed research on discrepancies on a daily basis. He/She will identify complex errors or anomalies by reviewing daily exception reports, Webtools and overall research on daily ROR / market value impact. The candidate should be research oriented, analytically and procedurally competent representing the team on process deliverables. Emerging as an expert and also remains focused on daily execution. The candidate over a period of time would be expected to provide inputs towards process enhancement and betterment of quality / controls at regular intervals. This role also strictly demands timely and accurate completion, delivery of the work.

Major Duties:

  • Completes/audits rate of return analysis and exception reports resolving issues by applying process knowledge, procedures and accounting principles.
  • Responsible for monitoring daily audit checks and exercising independent logics in resolving daily exceptions using audit tools/applications, documenting errors, sending notifications to originating area for corrections, validating  responses and ensuring corrections.
  • Build strong working relationships with other departments throughout the organization.
  • Owns the quality check for the team and address the issues to the management.
  • Reviews the DPADs and procedural documents for updates.
  • Precise & timely communication via email/telephone is crucial in daily interaction with colleagues, management, & other related partner areas across the region.
  • Analyzes reports and identifies potential problem situations, trends, and improvement opportunities. Initiates changes to processing as needed. 
  • Ability to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to analysts.
  • Actively conduct/participate in team meetings to promote group learning via the sharing of experiences is to be encouraged. A team spirit should be fostered & candidates should possess the ability to express themselves & pass on gained knowledge in the forum.
  • Be able to multitask, prioritize whilst working to strict deadlines is an essential requirement.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Good understanding of financial instruments like Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives securities.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts, detailed understanding of Client Reports and applications in use will be an advantage.
  • Logical & Analytical thinking, problem solving skills and consultative/solution oriented approach to identify, research and resolve inquiries/data.
  • Organizational skills are required to complete the allocated work and the responsibilities within scheduled timeframes.
  • Flexible approach towards changing work environment and technology.
  • Ability to develop effective and positive relationships within the team and internal partners, promoting co-operation and inclusiveness.
  • Good Organizational & Communication skills (Written & Verbal)
  • Can-do approach towards embracing change.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Excel, Data Analytics, sharepoint and Power BI will be an advantage.
