About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic sales leader to drive new business growth across Europe with a mandate to accelerate sustainable growth and position ICIS as a trusted, long-term strategic partner in region. This role is pivotal in expanding our market footprint, building high-performing sales teams, and delivering revenue growth through innovative go-to-market strategies.
The successful candidate will:
Set and execute the new business sales strategy across the European region.
Capture untapped opportunities in new markets, sectors, and solutions.
Lead the adoption of value-based selling, sales tools and AI-powered solutions.
Inspire and scale a high-performing team that consistently delivers results.
This is a pivotal role within our transformation journey. It requires strategic vision, operational excellence and exceptional people skills - someone capable of shaping the long-term direction while driving immediate commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Commercial Growth & Market Expansion
Champion value-based and consultative selling (3Cs sales methodology), ensuring client engagements are outcome-focused.
Define and execute the European new business sales strategy aligned with global objectives.
Identify high-potential markets, segments, and verticals within financial services and corporate sectors.
Drive pipeline generation and conversion for existing accounts and new logos across Europe.
Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key prospects and partners.
Oversee complex enterprise sales cycles, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract closures.
Leadership
Drive adoption of AI-enabled and data-driven solutions, articulating their impact to new clients.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and client success teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
Champion a collaborative environment across the business functions and region, and lead by example.
Build, develop, and retain a world-class team of regional sales specialists, with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Embed and sustain an inclusive culture of high-performance, enabling everyone to be the very best versions of themselves.
Strong communication and influence skills to build effective stakeholder relationships to maximise business outcomes
Market Intelligence and Reporting & Forecasting
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics.
Provide feedback to product and strategy teams to inform roadmap and positioning.
Own accurate forecasting, performance tracking, and reporting to senior leadership.
Ensure CRM and sales tools are effectively utilized across the team.
Skills & Experience Required
Extensive enterprise sales experience (or equivalent), with sound experience of leadership.
Proven success in defining new business commercial strategies, capturing new growth opportunities, and executing commercial expansion.
Expertise in value-based and consultative selling within complex enterprise environments.
Strong track record in AI-enabled, SaaS, or data-driven solution sales.
Executive presence with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
Inspirational leadership style, with a record of building and scaling high-performing, diverse teams. Cross functional collaboration and experience of leading in a matrixed environment would be advantageous.
Strong financial and analytical acumen, with a data-driven approach to decisions.
Industry expertise in commodities, energy, chemicals, supply chain and / or adjacent markets.
