CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for owning trusted client relationships and driving business growth through integrated marketing leadership. This includes seamless collaboration across creative, digital, experiential, and sponsorship teams to deliver innovative, measurable solutions that align with client objectives

**The priority location for this role is Stamford, CT but the location of this position can be flexible for an Octagon office location with priority given to qualified candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations - Stamford, CT, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Miami, FL, New York, NY, or Los Angeles, CA. 

Octagon is seeking a Vice President, Client Services to lead integrated marketing initiatives for key accounts, inspire cross-functional teams, and act as a strategic advisor to senior clients. This role requires vision, empathy, and the ability to foster a culture of accountability and innovation while ensuring best-in-class delivery across all marketing disciplines.

You will partner with clients to understand their business goals and translate them into impactful marketing strategies. As a strategic integrator and sparring partner, you will connect the dots across creative, digital, experiential, and sponsorship programs, guiding teams to deliver cohesive, high-performing campaigns. While sponsorship expertise remains valuable, your primary focus will be on integrated marketing leadership.

The work you’ll do

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver fully integrated marketing programs across creative, digital, experiential, and sponsorship channels.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies grounded in client business objectives, ensuring measurable impact.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, providing strategic counsel and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Drive collaboration and integration across internal teams and external partners to achieve seamless execution.
  • Champion innovation and thought leadership, contributing insights and best practices to elevate agency positioning.
  • Maintain oversight of sponsorship rights and assets while prioritizing holistic marketing solutions

Who we’re looking for 

  • 10–14 years of experience in integrated marketing leadership within sports and entertainment agencies.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and deliver complex, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of the sports and entertainment landscape, with expertise in creative, digital, experiential, and sponsorship marketing.
  • Modern leadership style—empathetic, clear, and visionary—with a track record of fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and inspiring teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can connect marketing initiatives to client business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed. Anticipated travel: Moderate (20-40%).

The base range for this position is $140,000 - 160,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
