Job Description
To develop and execute the strategic direction for the Commercial business, ensuring sustainable and profitable financial performance aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy.
- Drive cost efficiency by implementing deliberate cost control and savings initiatives.
- Strengthen customer retention through strategic relationship management with dealers, suppliers, and prospective clients.
- Establish and cascade operational customer service goals that reflect the organisation’s shared values.
- Champion a culture of “Treating Customers Fairly” across the business and lead related customer service initiatives.
- Advocate for the customer service value proposition and secure employee and industry stakeholder buy-in.
- Identify enablers required to achieve the business’s customer service vision and ensure alignment across teams.
- Evaluate the long-term impact of strategic decisions on business sustainability.
- Plan and manage human resource requirements within the area of responsibility.
- Define and implement systems and technology enablers to support business performance.
- Develop and apply performance metrics using industry benchmarks to assess business outcomes and behaviours.
- Benchmark internal practices against industry standards to identify and adopt best practices.
- Design and deliver innovative strategies aligned with the operating model, and oversee their execution at an operational level.
- Foster a culture of innovation by ensuring adequate resources, platforms, and budget allocation.
- Anticipate market, industry, and customer shifts, and drive innovation in response.
- Manage team performance through clear performance contracts, identifying training needs, and supporting development.
- Lead the planning and execution of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for self and team, ensuring completion and integration into daily work.
