The Financial Crime Services team sits within the Chief Operating Office and provides specialist support to the Group’s domestic and international operations. This role is responsible for providing governance advice and coordinating key decisions and reporting across Financial Crime Compliance, including the application of Anti-Money Laundering/Counter‑Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Anti‑Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, and Anti‑Tax Evasion Facilitation law and policy to business decision‑making processes.

The role supports CCP220 reporting and a range of non‑financial risk (NFR) committees, as well as the collection and assessment of material inputs for NFR reporting in support of the CBA AMLCO / MLRO.

Reporting into the General Manager, Transformation Lead – Financial Crime, you will be responsible for establishing consistent, high‑quality reporting standards and processes across all Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) reporting lines.

On any given day, you will

  • Support FCC governance strategy and continuous improvement, drawing on your knowledge or interest in AML/CTF, Anti‑Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, or Anti‑Tax Evasion Facilitation requirements and legislation

  • Manage the collation of materials for Financial Crime committees, providing check‑and‑challenge advice on submissions, acting as secretariat where required, facilitating AMLCO review, and ensuring alignment with governance processes

  • Support the preparation of CPS220 (Risk Management Declaration) reporting for Financial Crime Compliance

  • Provide governance advice to stakeholders across the Group on FCC requirements

  • Coordinate annual reviews of Committee performance and support day‑to‑day committee management

  • Support the implementation of changes to FCC governance structures

  • Assist with the preparation, collation and facilitation of FCC Group‑level reporting, including reporting for Board Risk and Compliance Committee, ELT and ELT NFRC

  • Act as a central coordination point for a broad range of senior stakeholders across the business
     

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

  • Experience producing complex executive and governance reporting

  • Exposure to developing and delivering governance advice in a regulated or financial services environment

  • Strong executive briefing skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and deliver clear insights

  • Experience producing high‑quality, complex documentation

  • Tertiary qualifications in law or prior legal / governance experience (highly regarded)

  • Experience or interest in AML/CTF, anti‑bribery and corruption (ABAC), Sanctions, and Anti‑Tax Evasion Facilitation (ATEF)
